Scenario 2: Exclusive Usage#

Use this scenario to validate the Exclusive Usage flag. An Instrument marked as exclusive can be associated with only one process Resource at a time.

  1. Go to Measurement Station 01 > Instruments > Manage. For more information, see Manage Resource Instruments.
  2. Start Dispatch and Track-In for PCB-LOT-002.

  3. Select , choose Scale-1, confirm that Exclusive is set to Yes, and select Update.

  4. Go to Measurement Station 02 > Instruments > Manage.

  5. Select and try to add Scale-1.

  6. Verify that the system blocks the association.

  7. Go to Business Data > Resource > Scale-1.

  8. Select Views > References > Where Used.

  9. Confirm that Scale-1 is related to Measurement Station 01.

  10. Return to Measurement Station 01 > Instruments > Manage and remove Scale-1.

  11. Go back to Measurement Station 02 > Instruments > Manage.
  12. Add Scale-1 again and select Update.
