Scenario 4: Perform Setup - Instruments Step#

Use this scenario to validate Instruments before production begins. The Perform Setup wizard lets you associate a calibrated Instrument with a Resource during setup.

  1. Go to the Resource view of Measurement Station 01.
  2. Select PCB-LOT-003 in the dispatch list.

  3. Select Perform on the ribbon and then select Perform Setup.

  4. In the Perform Setup wizard, select Instruments in the left-side panel under Resource.

  5. Associate Caliper-001 with Measurement Station 01.

  6. Confirm that Maximum Width and Thickness show green checkmarks and Caliper-001 as the assigned Instrument.

    Note

    The Instruments step in Perform Setup provides visual confirmation that all measurement parameters have a valid calibrated instrument before production begins.

  7. Select PCB-LOT-003 again in the dispatch list and open View Setup.

  8. Confirm that Caliper-001 is associated with Measurement Station 01 in the Instruments section.
