Scenario 2: Use a BOM with Two Durable Products#

Use this scenario to validate a Material that requires two Durables during setup and track-in.

Use this scenario after Scenario 1: Use a BOM with One Durable Product to extend the same flow from one required Durable to two.

Warning

Before you add or remove Durables from the Resource, confirm that no Materials are in process. Abort or track out the previous Material before you continue.

  1. Select the Engine Block H08-P9.006 Material on the Expose Step or on the Ultratech Stepper 01 Resource view, and select Track-In.
  2. If no Durable is assigned, the wrong Durable is assigned, or the Durable is attached to the wrong position, the system blocks the operation.

  3. Open the Resource view and select Perform Setup.

  4. Review the durable information that the system resolves for each position, and assign the required Durables.

  5. Confirm the assigned Durables on the Durables page of the Resource.

  6. Select the same Material again and select Track-In. The wizard now shows both required Durables for the material context.

  7. After track-in, verify the durable usage on the Material Traceability View and on the Material History Report.

After you validate the two-durable setup, continue to Scenario 3: Use the Contains Durables Library Option. The next scenario keeps the same durable rules but manages the Durables from a library on the Resource.
