Edit Data Point#

ChartDataPoint.Edit

Overview#

This operation is used to Edit the individual reading values of an existing Chart Data Point.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

1. The Chart exists in the system and it is Active.
2. The Chart Data Point exists in the system and it is Active (Universal State).
3. The Chart Data Point is not aggregated.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1#

1. In the Logical Chart, select the Chart Data Point you want to edit.
2. Select Edit Data Point to open the Edit Chart Data Point wizard.

3. Edit the reading values as needed.

   Note

   The reading values must comply with the following:

   • Values must be within the range defined in the Parameter definition (minimum and maximum allowed values).
   • For Variable charts: the number of readings must be greater than or equal to the Minimum Sample Readings and less than or equal to the Maximum Sample Readings defined for the Chart.
   • For Attribute charts: the number of readings is one.
   • For p (Fraction Defective) and np (Number Defective) charts: the reading value must be between 0 and the Sample Size.

4. Optionally, enter a comment.

   Info

   If a comment is entered, it is stored as the Annotation of the Chart Data Point. For more information, see Annotate Data Point.

5. Select Save to complete the operation.
