Abort Maintenance Activity Order#

Overview#

This operation is used to abort a Maintenance Activity Order (MAO) and it is only available when the Execution State is In Progress.

Preconditions#

  • The MAO exists, is Active, and is In Progress.
  • The MAO Execution State is Released.

  • You must either belong to the Maintenance Plan Instance Owner Role or meet one of the following conditions:

    • Be the assigned Owner Employee if defined.
    • Belong to the Owner Role if defined.

  • The MAO must not be included in another MAO, that is, the Parent MAO property must be null.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Details#

  1. Select a MAO that matches the preconditions above.
  2. Optionally, enter a comment.

  3. Select Abort Maintenance Activity Order to complete the operation.

After aborting a MAO, the execution state changes to Released and you can Begin the Maintenance Activity Order once more. Additionally, if there are Checked-In Employees associated with the current MAO, the system will perform the Special Check-Out Employee from Maintenance Activity Order operation.

If the Maintenance Type of the MAO is set to Qualification and the Type Restriction Mode is set to Require None, all associated Qualification Checks change state to Started. For more information, see Adding Maintenance Activities.
