Security Portal Configuration#

The installation configures the Security Portal from the settings entered in DevOps Center. The following topics describe the configuration of the Security Portal, how it protects the user interfaces, what changes in MES when it is enabled, and how to provision users from an external identity provider:

  • Base Configuration - the config.json file of the Security Portal: tenant stores, OAuth clients, authentication strategies, application-derived tenants, environment variables, and enrollment.
  • User Interfaces - how the Forward Auth middleware protects the routes of the MES user interface.
  • Impact on MES Operations - changes in MES behavior when the Security Portal is enabled, such as the PIN required to unlock the application.
  • SCIM Provisioning - provisioning of users and roles from Microsoft Entra ID through SCIM.
