Used S3 APIs#
The following S3 APIs are used by Critical Manufacturing MES components for storage operations:

API Compatibility
These APIs are compatible with AWS S3 and S3-compatible storage solutions. Ensure your S3-compatible storage provider supports all listed operations for full CM MES functionality.
SQL Server Backups#
SQL Server 2022 backs up and restores the MES databases directly in S3-compatible storage. The storage used for the database backups must have an HTTPS address, otherwise the installation fails. This is the dedicated backup storage, if you configure one in DevOps Center, or the external storage.
Bucket prerequisite#
Create the S3 bucket before installing the Critical Manufacturing MES.
