Entity Type Scope#

Overview#

The context in which a UI Page can be used is determined by the Scope. The Entity Type scope associates a UI Page with a specific entity type (for example, Resource, Material, or Product).

When the scope is set to Entity Type, the Properties tab of the UI Page settings automatically includes an Entity Type Id property with the following characteristics:

  • Source set to UrlParameter;
  • Required flag enabled (true).

This configuration ensures that the UI Page always receives the entity identifier from the navigation context. For more information, see Design UI Page.

Pin to Quick Access#

UI Pages with an Entity Type scope can be pinned to Quick Access. When enabling Pin To Quick Access, you can define whether the pinned entry is available to:

  • All Users;
  • A specific Role.

When pinned, the UI Page becomes available in the View UIPages dropdown, allowing you to access it quickly without navigating through additional menus.

Note

A UI Page is only visible and usable if it is Effective. To make the UI Page (including any Quick Access entry) available, the associated Change Set must be approved and the Universal State must be Effective.
