Menu Entry Scope#

Overview#

The context in which a UI Page can be used is determined by the Scope. The Menu Entry scope attaches a UI Page to a specific menu entry of Critical Manufacturing MES.

This scope is typically used for dashboards or pages that belong to a functional area and should be accessible from a defined location in the menu structure.

Pin to Quick Access#

UI Pages with a Menu Entry scope can be pinned to Quick Access. When enabling Pin To Quick Access, you can define whether the pinned entry is available to:

  • All Users;
  • A specific Role.

When pinned, the UI Page appears in the Dashboards section of the selected menu entry, making it immediately visible when users access that menu.

Note

A UI Page is only visible and usable if it is Effective. To make the UI Page (including any Quick Access entry) available, the associated Change Set must be approved and the Universal State must be Effective.
