Manage Product Manufacturers#

Overview#

This operation is used to define the Business Partners (Manufacturers) associated to this Product.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.

Preconditions#

• The Product exists and it is Active.
• The Product Type is Raw Material, Part or Durable.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Manage Product Manufacturers#

Select the Product Manufacturer sub-section in the Details View panel and select Manage to open the Manage Product Manufacturers wizard.

1. Add as many Product Manufacturers as needed. For each one, provide the Business Partner name and Part Number. Optionally, you can also specify:
   • Moisture Sensitivity Level - The Floor Life and Floor Life Unit of Time values are filled automatically based on the selected level. Values come from the MoistureSensitivityLevel lookup table.
   • Capacity Class - Values come from the CapacityClass lookup table. This property applies only to scheduling on Tunnel and Batch Resources.
   • Standard Quantity - The standard quantity of the supplied part.
   • Note - an optional note to the manufacturer.
2. Select Update to complete the operation.
