Material Volume and Yield#

Overview#

The Material Volume and Yield dashboard provides insights about the quantity of Material processed and the yield achieved over a selected period. It enables performance tracking, identification of top material loss causes, and historical analysis of production efficiency.

Folder#

Material folder.

Database#

  • DWH (queried via Cube using GraphQL) for reliability metrics.
  • CDM (queried via OData) for maintenance orders.

Data#

The dashboard displays the following key metrics:

  • Yield (%)
  • Volume In
  • Volume Out
  • Top Loss Reasons by Quantity
  • Top Loss Reasons by Occurrences

Data Breakdown#

KPI Description Formula Datasource
Yield (%) Share of processed material that becomes usable output. (Good units ÷ Total units) × 100 Material Movement cube
Volume In Total quantity of material that entered a step. Sum of input volume for the selected period. WIP History cube
Volume Out Total quantity of material that left a step. Sum of output volume for the selected period. WIP History cube
Top Loss Reasons by Quantity Reasons for material losses sorted by weight/volume lost. Aggregate loss quantity per reason. MaterialLossBonus data set
Top Loss Reasons by Occurrences Reasons for material losses sorted by number of times they occurred. Count of loss events per reason. MaterialLossBonus data set

Data Visualization#

Panel Description Threshold Values Datasource
Overview Displays Yield(%), Volume In and Out for the selected time period. Yield: Green ≥ 95%, Yellow 90–94%, Red < 90%. Volume thresholds depend on product/material. Material Movement and WIP History cubes
Volume and Yield Over Time Time-based trends showing both the processed volume and yield percentage. N/A Material Movement and WIP History cubes
Top Loss Reasons by Quantity Pie chart of material loss causes by volume. Largest segment identifies the primary source of losses. N/A MaterialLossBonus data set
Top Loss Reasons by Occurrences Pie chart of material loss causes by number of occurrences. Largest segment identifies the most frequent issue. N/A MaterialLossBonus data set
