Available AI Agents#
Overview#
An AI deployment provides System Agents for common MES tasks. Each agent has a specific purpose and the tools required for that purpose. Choose the agent or AI action that matches the task instead of using a specialist agent for unrelated work.
The CM MES Agent is available from the main AI page. MES resolves the other standard agents when you start their associated AI capability from the relevant page or action.
The standard mapping between capabilities and agents is configured in the AIAgentContext Smart Table. An administrator can replace a standard mapping with a custom agent for the environment.
Standard Agents#
CM MES Agent#
Capability: General Assistance
Use the CM MES Agent as the general starting point for questions about MES entities, documents and attachments, or how the product works. It can help locate information and explain the appropriate MES functionality.
Use a specialist agent instead when you need to work with a specific entity, generate a UI Page, explore manufacturing data, or create a dashboard.
CM Entity Agent#
Capability: Entity Knowledge
The CM Entity Agent works with the entity, document, or attachment from which you start an AI action. Use it to ask questions about that context, summarize a document or attachment, or compare versions of an entity or document.
Use the CM MES Agent for general product questions that are not related to the current entity context.
CM UI Page Builder Agent#
Capability: UI Page Building
Use the CM UI Page Builder Agent to create or refine a UI Page from a natural-language description. It can build an initial page structure and arrange the relevant widgets, which you can then refine manually.
Use the CM UI Page Builder Agent when your task is to work on a UI Page. For more information, see Generate UI Pages with AI.
CM Shift Handover Agent#
Capability: Shift Handover Reporting
Use the CM Shift Handover Agent to generate a Shift Handover Summary from a Shift Logbook. The summary can include Shift Logbook entries, area activity, production performance, yield, scrap and hold reasons, and machine issues.
Use the CM Shift Handover Agent for end-of-shift reporting. For more information, see Generate Shift Handover Summary.
CM Analytics Agent#
Capability: Data Exploration
Use the CM Analytics Agent to ask questions about manufacturing data, including production figures, yield, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends. It returns the information in plain language without requiring you to write queries or reports.
Use the CM Dashboard Builder Agent when you need to create or change a dashboard rather than investigate a data question.
CM Query Builder Agent#
Capability: Query Building
Open a saved query in the Queries page and select AI Editor to use the CM Query Builder Agent. Describe the data you need in natural language; the agent can help configure columns, filters, and paths to related entities, then test its changes before saving them.
To work with a different entity type, open a query for that entity type first. For more information, see Queries.
CM Dashboard Builder Agent#
Capability: Dashboard Building
Use the CM Dashboard Builder Agent to create or refine dashboards from a natural-language description. It can build charts automatically and lets you continue refining the dashboard manually.
Use the CM Analytics Agent for a data question that does not require a dashboard.
