File Shares#
This guide will walk you through the steps required to prepare the file shares required by Critical Manufacturing MES.
Preparing the network shares#
The following shares are required to deploy Critical Manufacturing and will be requested during the installation wizard.

Note
We recommend placing the document management shared folders under the same network share to ensure filesystem permissions' consistency.
Database Deployment Network Share#
This share will be used by the Deployment Framework to install or update Critical Manufacturing instances. Both the user running the Deployment Agents and the user running SQL Server must have full control on this share.
Document Management Shares#
This share is used by Critical Manufacturing services for document management purposes. The user running Critical Manufacturing services must have full control on this share.
Electronic Failure Catalog Share#
This share is used by Critical Manufacturing services to store the high resolution images used in the Electronic Failure Catalog. The user running Critical Manufacturing services must have full control on this share.
Application Logs Network Share#
This share is used by Critical Manufacturing services to the application logs. The user running Critical Manufacturing services must have full control on this share.
