Terminate Asset Directory#

Overview#

This operation is used to terminate a Asset Directory.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The IoT Data Platform module is properly licensed in the system.
  • The Asset Directory exists in the system and is in Active or Created state.
  • There is no active Asset referencing this Asset Directory.

Sequence of Steps#

The Terminate Asset Directory wizard can be called from the Asset Directory page within the Data Platform section.

Step 1: General Data#

  1. Select the Asset Directory from the dropdown box on the left side of the screen.
  2. Press Terminate to perform the operation. All generic/smart table rows that reference the current object will be removed and will not be recovered if the object is unterminated at a later point.
