Asset.Edit

Overview#

This operation is used to edit an Asset.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

• The IoT Data Platform module is properly licensed in the system.
• The Asset exists in the system.

Sequence of Steps#

The Edit Asset wizard can be called from the Asset Directory page within the Data Platform section.

Step 1: General Data#

1. Select the Asset Directory from the dropdown box on the left side of the screen.
2. Select the appropriate Asset from the Asset Directory tree.
3. Press the Edit button on the Asset group located on the top ribbon.
4. The Asset will be put in editing mode and no additional dialog will be displayed. You can edit all available properties displayed in the information panels where the Asset is displayed. After performing the necessary changes, press the Save button on the Asset group located on the top ribbon to complete the operation.
