Data Purge#
The purge removes data related with terminated entity type instances from MES Online Database which last modification is greater than the specified retention time for the entity type.
Each entity type has a retention time, defined in days, and that is configured in the Entity Types page. The purge procedure is called by a scheduled job in the SQL ServerTM Agent. Its configuration and recurrence is configured by default during Critical Manufacturing MES installation.
This section describes how to check the purge job status and execution history.
Checking the Purge Job Execution History#
The SQL Server Agent maintains a list of executed jobs. To check the Purge Job execution history follow the steps as described below:
- Start the Microsoft SQL ServerTM Management Studio
- Open the SQL Server instance where the Critical Manufacturing MES Online database is running
- Expand the SQL Server Agent and Jobs
- Search for the Purge Job, for instance "MES Entity Types Purge", and then double-click on it
- On the General's page bottom, click on View Job History. The execution history details will be displayed
