Material Logistics#

The management of raw materials is quite important to ensure that the right materials are available in the right quantities at the point in time when they are required. The Material Logistics module supports the business processes related with requesting materials, fulfilling those requests and moving material between locations.

This module also covers topics related with Packing, an essential part of any industry and packages come in various shapes and sizes. Additionally, the packing container can be made out of different types of materials, and packed products can be packed at one or more levels depending on the end need.

In Critical Manufacturing MES, a Package is created from one or more Products of Product Type Packaging, and although associated to a Product, a package hierarchy can have various Materials.

Packing is understood to be any type of box, package or container used for the purposes of transportation or shipping.
