How to: Open Material Deviation#

1. Go to the Business Data menu.#

2. Select the Protocol entity.#

3. Create a new Protocol.#

4. Set the Scope of the Protocol to Material Deviation.#

5. Add a Default Owner.#

6. Approve the Protocol and set it as effective.#

7. Select the Checklist entity.#

8. Create a new Checklist and its items.#

9. Set the Scope of the Checklist to Material Tracking.#

10. Set the Execution Mode of the Checklist to Long Running.#

11. Associate the Material Deviation Protocol to the Checklist.#

12. Approve the Checklist and set it as effective.#

13. Change view to Checklist Items.#

14. Select the Open For Material button.#

15. Search and select the Material you need, and select Open.#

16. Open the Checklist Instance.#

17. Select a Checklist item.#

The Open Deviation button becomes available.

18. Select the appropriate Material Deviation.#
