🔒 Administration.Licenses

In order for the system to work properly, it must be configured with a valid license key. In addition, there are some modules that are licensed separately as described in the Application Modules section.

Licenses are limited by time and bound to a specific Critical Manufacturing major version. The system also comes with the capability of limiting the number of a particular entity type number of active instances. This is an optional second mechanism to allow for appropriate sizing and scaling of the solution.

In the System Monitoring page, you can see the existing licenses for the system as well as some information about those licenses. In the example below, the Critical Manufacturing installation is licensed with several modules and the licenses are valid until the date specified in each entry. Listed next to each module is the following information:

  • Environment Type
  • Module Activation Id
  • Remaining time in current license
  • License expiration date

If a new License is desired, the License code can be placed in the text field on the bottom of the dialog in one of two different ways:

  • Upload of a text file with the License code
  • Paste of the text content directly in the field.

After pressing Update, the new Licenses will be valid.
