Update Calendar Days#

Overview#

This operation is used to update Calendar Days already generated for a given Calendar.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Calendar exists in the system and it is Active.
  • A valid ShiftDefinition exists and is associated with the Calendar.
  • Calendar Days have been previously generated and exist in the system.
  • Only existing Active Calendar Days can be updated.
  • Fiscal Week of the edited day must be above or equal to zero and below or equal to 54.
  • Fiscal Month of the edited day must be above or equal to one and below or equal to 12.
  • Fiscal Quarter of the edited day must be above or equal to one and below or equal to four.
  • Fiscal Year of the edited day must be above or equal to 2000.

Sequence of Steps#

To update Calendar Days, follow the sequence:

  1. Open the Calendar.
  2. Change to the Calendar Days view.
  3. Select one or more generated days from the Calendar, through mouse dragging in the Month view or by selecting single days separately. Information on the number of selected days can be seen in the right side panel. When one or more days are selected, select the Update button on the top ribbon and the Update Calendar Days wizard dialog will be opened.
  4. The selected days will be displayed in the left side of the dialog. Selecting each of the days will display specific information on that specific day.
  5. Perform any desired changes on the selected days.
  6. Remember that the Shift Definition for the current day can be changed to override the definition chosen upon the original generation of the Calendar Day.

    Info

    A day without a Shift Definition is considered a non-working day.

  7. To save time and effort, edited values for the current day can be easily copied to all the other days listed in the dialog by selecting Copy All Values to All Days.

  8. Select Update to complete the operation and the Calendar Days will be updated.
