Open Checklist Instance for Material#

Overview#

Opens a Checklist Instance for a Material. The Checklist may have Data Collections or BOMs associated with it and it will be accessible through the Checklist details page.

Setup#

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Material exists, is Active and non-template.
  • The Material is not In Transit.
  • The Checklist is Active or Checklist Version is Effective.
  • The Checklist is of scope Material Tracking and the Execution mode is Long Running.

Sequence of Steps#

To open a Checklist Instance for a Material, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose a suitable Checklist.
  2. Select the Open For Material button on the top ribbon.
  3. Select a Material.
  4. Select the Open button to conclude the operation.
  5. To perform the Checklist Instance, see Perform Material Checklist - New.
