Terminate Data Collection Instance#

DataCollectionInstance.Terminate

Overview#

This operation is used to Terminate a Data Collection Instance.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

• The Data Collection Instance exists in the system and is in Active state.

Sequence of Steps#

Use the following steps to terminate an active Data Collection Instance.

Step 1: Open an active Data Collection Instance#

1. Open a Data Collection.
2. In the Data Collection page, select Instance from the right side menu.
3. In the Data Collection Instances table, select the name of the Data Collection Instance that you want to terminate.

Step 2: General Data#

1. In the top ribbon, select More.
2. Select Terminate from the dropdown menu.

3. In the Terminate Data Collection Instance wizard, select Terminate.

   Warning

   All generic/smart table rows that reference the current Data Collection Instance will be removed and will not be recovered if the object is unterminated at a later point.
