Terminate Data Collection#

Overview#

This operation is used to Terminate a Data Collection.

Setup#

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

Preconditions#

  • The Data Collection exists in the system and is in Active or Created state.

Sequence of Steps#

Use the following steps to terminate a Data Collection.

Step 1: Open the termination wizard#

  1. Open the Data Collection you want to terminate.
  2. In the Data Collection page, select More in the top ribbon.
  3. Select Terminate from the dropdown menu.

  4. Select one of the following:

    • Revision - if you want to terminate a revision. For more information, see Revisions.
    • Version - if you want to terminate a version associated to an existing revision. For more information, see Versions.

Step 2: General Data#

Select Terminate to perform the operation. All generic/smart table rows that reference the current object will be removed and will not be recovered if the object is unterminated at a later point.
