Cancel Maintenance Activity Order#

Overview#

This operation is used to cancel a Maintenance Activity Order (MAO).

Preconditions#

  • The MAO exists, is Active, and the execution state is Requested, Approved, or Released.
  • The user must belong to the Maintenance Plan Instance Owner Role.
  • The Maintenance Activity must be of type Ad hoc.
  • The MAO Rework Count must be 0.

Sequence of Steps#

Step 1: Details#

  1. Verify the information regarding the MAO.
  2. If a state transition is associated with the entity to which the MAO is related, it is possible to change the state of the entity by selecting a new state from the list. If the state transition has Reasons associated, you can accept the suggested Reason or select another one.
  3. Optionally, enter a Comment.

  4. Select Cancel Maintenance Activity Order to complete the operation.

Info

You can cancel the MAO even when there are Maintenance Activity Material records associated to it. Once a MAO is canceled, the System State will be set to Canceled, but the Universal State will be set to Terminated. For more information, see Terminate Maintenance Activity Order.
