Request for Material Transfer for Cost Center#

Overview#

This operation is used to make a Material Transfer request for a Cost Center.

Setup#

In order for the Receive Material Transfer to be fully functional, two customizations must be deployed in Critical Manufacturing's installation:

• To resolve the Material's Flow Path where Material Transfer of mode TransferMaterial should be received in the Destination Facility.
• To resolve the Materials from the Destination Facility to where Inventory is placed for modes TransferInventory and ConsumeInventory.

Preconditions#

Sequence of Steps#

• To request a Material Transfer for a Cost Center, it is necessary to open a Step View or Resource View and then select the Material Transfer Request For Cost Center button to initialize the wizard.

Step 1: Details#

1. Select a From Facility and optionally, a From Area.
2. Optionally, select a To Step.
3. Select the Product and Quantity to be requested.
4. Select an Urgency (values are taken from the generic table MaterialTransferUrgency). When the urgency is selected, the request delivery date is automatically set, based on the current date and the predefined DefaultDeliveryTime for that Urgency (in minutes).
5. Optionally, override the Request Deliverable Date.
6. Optionally, define a recurrence:
7. None - default option.
8. Hourly - specify an hourly interval.
9. Daily - specify a daily interval.
10. Weekly - specify a weekly interval.
11. Optionally, enter a comment.
12. Press Request to complete the transaction.
