Create Schedule Scenario#
ScheduleScenario.Create
Overview#
In order to create a Schedule Scenario for a Schedule click the Create New Schedule Scenario in the Schedule View of a Schedule.
Preconditions#
- If the current Schedule has an owner role defined, the user must belong to that role.
Sequence Of Steps#
This section contains the information associated with the creation of a Schedule Scenario. The wizard is accessible from the Scenarios View within a Schedule, by selecting the Create dropdown button on top of the Scenarios grid, followed by New Schedule Scenario.
- Enter a Name.
- Optionally, enter a Description.
- Choose the Planning Start Date (defaults to the current date/time).

Choose the Type for the Schedule Scenario. Available options are:
- OperationalScheduleAccurate - Schedules only already existing Materials, that is, it only takes in consideration work in progress (WIP). It will attempt to schedule all the jobs for all the materials which have at least one job starting within the planning horizon.
- OperationalScheduleFast - Schedules only already existing Materials, that is, it only takes in consideration work in progress (WIP). It will attempt to predict, for each Material, which jobs will fall within the fast planning horizon - these jobs will be scheduled, and a rough cut estimation.
- OperationalScheduleFast.
- PlanningSchedule.

Optionally, override the Planning Horizon, (in days), defined in the Schedule.
- Optionally, override the Frozen Period, (in hours), defined in the Schedule.
- Select Create to perform the operation.

You can create a copy of an existing Schedule Scenario by selecting the Copy of Schedule Scenario option in the same Create dropdown button used above. Alternatively, you can perform the same operation from the details page of an existing Schedule Scenario by selecting the Copy schedule button on the top ribbon.
