Production Order Cube#
This cube collects information regarding Production Orders (PO). Its main focus is to capture all the main events related to the life cycle of a PO. All the date related dimensions in this Cube represent the moment when the PO changed its System State (Created, Released, In Progress, Completed, Closed and Canceled).
Please note that the data in this Cube represents a accumulating snapshot of each individual PO state. This means that the information in the Cube will be revisited and updated during the PO life cycle. In other words, all the date related dimensions and measure values will be updated during the Cube Processing if any relevant milestone is met.
Dimensions#
This section describes the dimensions of the Production Order Cube
Created Date - PO's creation date. This is the first event collected in this cube
Released Date - PO's released date. If the PO has not yet been released (System State), the default date will be used (January 1, 2000)
In Progress Date - Same as above but for the In Progress System State
Completed Date - Same as above but for the Completed System State
Closed Date - Same as above but for the Closed System State
Canceled Date - PO's canceled date (if applicable). If the PO has not been canceled, the default date will be used (January 1, 2000)
Customer - PO's Customer, if defined during its creation
Due Date - PO's due date, if defined during its creation
Product - PO's Product
Production Order - PO's Name
Unit - PO's main units
Measure Groups#
There one measure group in the Production Order cube:
- Production Order
Production Order#
This section describes the Production Order Measure Group.
This Measure group is useful to calculate the number of POs, Volumes and Lags for an individual PO or group of POs. Using each dimension you can also filter or group POs, for example, by Customer, Due Date or Product.
You can also use the Lags to monitor the correct execution of a PO, or group of POs, and use this values to fine tune scheduling scenarios or to quickly correct deviations.
By using the Production Order Count value and Quantity measures and the Due Date Dimension (in conjunction with the Product Dimension), you can also have a valuable forecast of the volume and number of POs due for each day, week or month.
Actual Duration - Sum of the actual duration (in hours) of the selected group of POs. If an individual PO has not yet been completed, this value will be null
Average Actual Duration - Average (in hours) of the actual duration of the selected group of POs. PO's that are not yet completed are not taken in account
Average Early Due Lag - Average (in hours) of the difference between the Due Date of a PO's and its actual Completed date. POs that completed after its Due Date will not be considered for this calculation
Average Late Due Lag - Average (in hours) of the difference between the Due Date of a PO's and its actual Completed date. POs that completed before its Due Date will not be considered for this calculation
Average Planned Duration - Average (in hours) of the difference between the PO's Planned Start Date and Planned End Date
Early Due Lag - Difference (in hours) between the PO's Planned Due Date and the actual Completed Date. If the PO is not yet completed or its Actual Completed Date is greater than its Planned Due Date, this value is null. This means that only the on-time Completed PO's influence this value
Early Due Lag Count - Counts the number of POs that Complete before the Planned Date
Late Due Lag - Difference (in hours) between the PO's Planned Due Date and the actual Completed Date. If the PO is not yet completed or its Actual Completed Date is less than its Planned Due Date, this value is null. This means that only the late Completed PO's influence this value
Late Due Lag Count - Counts the number of POs that Complete after the Planned Date
Maximum Actual Duration - Maximum of the Actual Duration of all the selected POs
Maximum Early Due Lag - Maximum of the Early Due Lag of all the selected POs
Maximum Late Due Lag - Maximum of the Late Due Lag of all the selected POs
Minimum Actual Duration - Minimum of the Actual Duration of all the selected POs
Minimum Early Due Lag - Minimum of the Early Due Lag of all the selected POs
Minimum Late Due Lag - Minimum of the Late Due Lag of all the selected POs
Planned Duration - Sum of the difference (in hours) between the individual Planned Start Date and Planned Due Date values of all the selected POs
Maximum Quantity - Maximum quantity for all the selected POs
Minimum Quantity - Minimum quantity for all the selected POs
Quantity - Sum of all the selected PO's quantity
Material Count - Sum of all the materials associated to each individual PO
Production Order Count - Number of selected POs
