Working With Pages#

The Critical Manufacturing GUI can be seen as a browser of application pages.

To open a page, browse and click on the page that you wish to open. Clicking on any entry in the navigation menu pane will open the corresponding menu page in the Contents Area.

Navigation

Info

When trying to open the same object more than once, the application will navigate to the already existing page.

Info

When clicking on a link within an open page, the system will re-use the existing open page by default. It is possible to force the link to be opened in a new page by right-clicking on the link and then selecting Open in new page.

To close a page, it is necessary to click the cross button on the top-right corner of the page tab, on the header. Alternatively, by right-clicking on the page tab, additional options will become available:

  • Fullscreen: enlarges the size of the screen, hiding the menu bar, tool bar and title bar.
  • Add to Bookmarks: creates a shortcut that directs your browser to the specific page or set of pages.
  • Open on Start-Up: opens the specific page immediately after login.
  • Close Page: closes the selected page.
  • Close Other Pages: closes all pages except for the selected one.
  • Close All Pages: closes all opened pages.

In addition, the button at the top-right corner of the page also provides a list of all opened pages; it allows you to quickly navigate between them, by clicking on the desired page or to close a page by clicking on the respective cross. The top-right corner menu also provides an option to close all open pages.

Finally, on the left of the page's header, there is a go-back and a go-forward button that allows you to undo/redo your navigation steps.
