Gem Control State

Control State Attribute#

Control State informs if the tool is setup to be controlled remotely (Online Remote), locally but connected to the host (Online Local), or with no interface connected (Offline states). This follows the Control State Model from E30 Standard:

Control State Model

On MES this will be set in the SemiControlState attribute of the Resource.

The Control State will influence automatically the behavior of the Semiconductor Template based integrations.

The following workflows have to modified with the tool behavior for Control States:

  • Setup:
    • Define Control State variable.
  • Track In workflows (TrackIn_01_* workflows):
    • Define Control State variable.
  • ControlState_01_ControlStateUpdateReceived:
    • Define trigger events.
    • This workflow is expecting the default standard enumeration or the name of the state.

Retrieve Control State#

For custom behaviors where you might need to retrieve the current control state from the Equipment Integration you can use the RetrieveControlState Generic Workflow to trigger different behaviors on Online Remote, Online Local or Offline states.
