# Tutorial: Auto Terminate and Ship on Last Step

## Objective

Learn how to configure and execute the **Auto Terminate and Ship on Last Step** feature to automatically complete and ship materials at the end of a production flow.

## Step 1: Enable System Configuration

- Navigate to the system configuration and locate the following configuration key:
    - `/SMT/MaterialTracking/AutoTerminateAndShipOnLastStep`

- Set the value to:
    - **True**

This enables the feature globally.

## Step 2: Configure the Shipping Facility

- Navigate to **Facility**.
- Select the facility intended to receive completed materials.
- Enable the property:
    - **TerminateOnShip**

> Note: If multiple facilities have this property enabled, the system will use the first one available.

## Step 3: Configure the Final Flow Step

- Open the relevant **Flow**.
- Identify the **last Step** in the Flow Path.
- Enable the following properties:
    - **Allow Shipping**
    - **Marks Product Completion**

This ensures the step is recognized as the final production and shipping trigger point.

## Step 4: Create and Process Material

- Create a **Material** associated with:
    - A **Production Order**
    - A valid **Flow Path**

- Move the material through the flow steps sequentially.

## Step 5: Trigger Automatic Termination and Shipping

- Move the material into the **last step** of the flow.

- Observe the system behavior:
    - The material is automatically **completed**
    - The material is automatically **shipped**
    - The destination is the configured **TerminateOnShip Facility**

## Expected Result

After reaching the final step:

- No manual shipping action is required
- The material is automatically:
    - Completed
    - Shipped to the correct facility

## Frequent Configuration Questions

### Why is the feature not being triggered?

Verify that:

- The configuration is enabled.
- The step properties are correctly configured.

### Why is the material not being shipped?

Ensure that at least one Facility has **TerminateOnShip** enabled.

### Why are errors occurring when processing multiple materials?

Ensure that all materials share the same:

- Production Order
- Flow Path
