# Inspection Plans

The **Inspection Plan** is a reusable object that represents a sampling method applied in a given operation context. The **Inspection Plan** has a configuration parameter where you can define a **Protocol** to be triggered if the parameters being collected have surpassed the threshold of the maximum number of acceptable defects.

In the video below, you can see that the execution of an **Inspection Plan** has surpassed the maximum number of acceptable defects, triggering a **Protocol Instance** that has been previously configured to be executed in case of failure.
