# How to Create a Maintenance Plan

### 1\. Go to your MES home page

Open **MES** and go to the **home page.**

### 2\. Business Data

From the menu, select the option **Business Data** .

### 3\. Maintenance Plan

From the tiles menu with all the options available, select **Maintenance Plan**

### 4\. New

Select **New** to create a new Maintenance Plan.

### 5\. Name the Maintenance Plan

Provide a name for the **Maintenance Plan** .

### 6\. Add a description (Optional)

Optionally, enter a **description** .

### 7\. Select the Maintenance Plan type

Select the **Maintenance Plan type** . The list of possible values is taken from the lookup table Maintenance PlanType.

### 8\. Select on Create

Select **Create** to complete the operation and the new Maintenance Plan will be created.
