# Scenario 1: Use a BOM with One Durable Product

Use this scenario to validate a single durable requirement on the `Expose` **Step** and the `Ultratech Stepper 01` **Resource**.

1. Select the `Engine Block H08-P9.002` **Material** on the `Expose` **Step** or on the `Ultratech Stepper 01` **Resource** view, and select **Track-In**.
1. If no **Durable** is assigned, the wrong **Durable** is assigned, or the **Durable** is attached to the wrong position, the system blocks the operation.

1. Open the **Resource** details page or the **Resource** view, and select **Manage Durables**. For more information about the operation, see [[tutorials-howto-manageresourcedurables]].

1. Attach `Mask XX` to the correct position defined in the **BOM** items.

1. Select the same **Material** again and select **Track-In** to confirm that the required **Durable** is now available.

1. Review the installed **Durables** on the **Durables** page of the **Resource**.

1. After track-in, verify the durable usage on the **Material Traceability View** and on the **Material History Report**.
