# Edit Definition

The **Edit Scheduled Action** wizard has the same structure as the [[user-guide-automation-scheduled-action-create]] wizard, but displays the current configuration.

The main difference between **Create** and **Edit** is that saving a new Definition immediately triggers **Context Resolution** and generates tasks for each resolved entity instance. When you **Edit** an existing Definition, the system re-runs **Context Resolution** if it was changed, creating tasks for any newly resolved instances. Tasks already in a terminal state are not affected in either case.
