--- alias: user-guide-change-batch-resource description: "Modify a batch resource’s attributes, adhering to predefined system constraints" --- # Change Batch Resource :lock: Batch.**ChangeResource** ## Overview This operation is used to Change Resource of a given **Batch**. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The **Batch** exists in the system and is Active. * The **Batch** System State is Created or Released. * The **Resource** must be Active and non-template. * The Resource Material Processing Mode must be **Batch**. * **Containers** can only be added to the **Batch** if a Batch Container Type is defined. All added **Containers** must match that type, be in the same **Facility** as the Batch Resource, be Active, and non-templates. * If the Batch Load Mode is set to Resource, the Batch must not be in Loading or Loaded state. * If the Resource Batch Load Mode is set to None: * If the Batch is Created, the Batch Load State must be Not Loaded. * If the Batch is Released, the Batch Load State must be Loaded. ## Sequence of Steps 1. Select a **Batch**. 2. Select a **Resource**. 3. Optionally, enter a comment for the operation. 4.
