# Edit Batch

## Overview

This operation is used to Edit a **Batch**.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Batch** exists in the system and is Active.

## Sequence of Steps

The Edit Batch wizard can be called from the **Batch** page within the Business Data Group.

### Step 1: General Data

In this wizard, you can only edit the description and the priority of the Batch.

### Step 2: Materials

In this wizard, you can add or remove Batch Materials by selecting the :material-plus: or :material-trash-can: icons, respectively. While you cannot remove a Batch Material that has been set as Main Material, you can define another Material as the Main Material.

Additionally, if the **Batch** is not in Created state, you will not be able to modify the list of **Materials**, including Main Material,

### Step 3: Containers

In this wizard, you can add or remove Batch Containers by selecting the :material-plus: or :material-trash-can: icons, respectively. If the **Batch** is not in Created state, you will not be able to modify the list of **Containers**,
