# Unrelease Batch

## Overview

This operation is used to Unrelease a previously released **Batch**. This is typically to correct situations where the Batch was released by mistake, or when you need to make corrections to the Batch composition.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.  

## Preconditions

* The **Batch** exists in the system and is Active.
* If the Batch Load Mode is defined:
    * The Batch system state is Released.
    * If the Batch Load Start Mode is After Release, the Load State must be Not Loaded.
* If the Batch Load Mode is not defined:
    * The Batch system state is Queued.
    * The Batch Load Mode is Loaded.  

## Sequence of Steps

1. Choose a Released **Batch**, then select the **Unrelease** button on the top ribbon.
2. Optionally, enter a comment for the operation.
3. Select **Unrelease Batch**.
