--- alias: user-guide-change-change-set tags: - change management description: "Modify an existing change set associated with an object for updates" --- # Change Change Set :lock: ChangeSet.**Edit** ## Overview This operation is used to change the current **Change Set** associated to an object. ## Setup No special setup is required, other than to meet the transaction's preconditions. ## Preconditions * **Change Set** exists and it's in the "Active". * The user has an active **Employee** object associated with it. ## Sequence of Steps ### Step 1 - General Data 1. Select an appropriate object with an associated **Change Set**. 2. In the top ribbon, select *Change Change Set*. 3. Select a destination **Change Set**. 4. Select an approval role, if needed. 5. Click **Change**. The object will now be associated to the destination **Change Set** !!! warning If a **Change Set** has an approval context defined by **Role**, the **Role** of the **User** approving the **Change Set** must match the **Role** defined in the [ChangeSetApprovalContext](../../administration/tables/smart-tables/changesetapprovalcontext.md) Smart Table entry.
