# Unterminate Data Collection

This operation is used to Unterminate a **Data Collection**.  

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Data Collection** exists in the system and is in the Terminated state.

    Unterminating a Data Collection will also unterminate its associated Data Collection Parameters. However, unterminating a Data Collection will not unterminate any associated Data Collection Limit Sets. To unterminate a Data Collection Limit Set, navigate to its respective entity page and unterminate it manually. For more information, see [[user-guide-unterminate-data-collection-limit-set]].
