--- alias: user-guide-terminate-maintenance-plan-instances description: "Terminate Maintenance Plan Instances allows for the simultaneous removal of multiple instances" --- # Terminate Maintenance Plan Instances :lock: MaintenancePlanInstance.**Terminate** ## Overview This operation is used to terminate multiple **Maintenance Plan Instance** objects simultaneously. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The **Maintenance Plan Instances** exist in the system and are in Active or Created state. ## Sequence of Steps The Terminate Maintenance Plan Instance wizard can be called from the **Maintenance Plan** page within the Business Data Group. Navigate to the **Instances** section of the Details view and select the **Terminate** button on the top of the grid that shows the current instances of **Maintenance Plan Instances** associated to this **Maintenance Plan** ### Step 1: General Data 1. Choose the **Maintenance Plan Instances** that you wish to terminate and select **Terminate** to perform the operation. All generic/smart table rows that reference the current object will be removed. For more information on terminating an object, visit the section [[user-guide-terminate-and-unterminate]]. !!! warning Maintenance Plan Instance objects cannot be unterminated.
