--- alias: user-guide-view-material-documents description: "This documentation outlines the process for viewing associated documents within a material context" --- # View Material Documents :lock: Material.**ViewDocuments** ## Overview This operation is used to view the **Documents** that are associated with the current **Material** context. ## Setup **Documents** are only shown within the browser if the browser contains a plug-in to display the file. If it does not contain a file viewer, the user will be prompted to select a location to download the file. ## Preconditions * There are effective **Documents** associated with the current **Material** context. ## Sequence of Steps ### Step 1 1. Select **View Documents** on the top ribbon. The system will display all applicable documents in all different formats and it will automatically open the first **Document** on the list. 2. Select a **Document** from the list on the left, to open and visualize it on the right-hand side panel. To change between documents, select them individually in the grid of **Documents** or use the directional arrows. To visualize the document in full screen, select the button next to the arrows. 3.
