# View Material Note

## Overview

This operation is used to view a **Note** that is associated with the current **Material** context.

## Setup

No setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* Material exists and it is Active in the system.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. When a note is created in the [Future Actions](manage_material_future_actions.md) section, it becomes available on the top ribbon by the name of the **Material**.

2. Select the note icon to open the View Note wizard.
3. Select **Close** to exit the note.
