# Clear Notification

## Overview

This operation is used to clear a **Notification**.

## Setup

No special setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Notification** assignment type must be either:
    * Employee - the user (employee) matches the one of the **Notification**
    * Everyone
    * Role - the user (employee) belongs to that **Notification**
* The **Notification** must be **Open** and **Active**.
* The **Clearance** Mode must not be **Automatic**.
* If the **Clearance** Mode is **Manual Every User**, the user must not have already cleared the **Notification**.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1

1. To clear the **Notification** select **Clear** in the **Notification** details page or in the Notifications pane on the right of the screen.

	It is also possible to clear all open **Notifications** at once by selecting **Clear All** on the top right of the Notifications pane.
