--- alias: user-guide-manage-plan-items tags: - scheduling description: "Manage Plan Items allows editing and controlling associated products or product groups within a plan" --- # Manage Plan Items :lock: Plan.**Edit** ## Overview This operation is used to manage the **Plan Items** (**Products** or **Product Groups**) associated with an existing **Plan**. ## Setup No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction. ## Preconditions * The **Plan** exists in the system and is Active. * The **Plan** is an Effective Plan and is not a **Plan Scenario**. ## Sequence of Steps The Manage Plan Items operation can be called from the **Plan** page within the Business Data Group, scrolling to the Items section in the main **Plan** page. In the wizard: 1. Add as many **Plan Items** as desired (press :material-plus: to add and :material-trash-can: to remove), specifying for each item a system object of the manufacturing level type defined in the previous step (**Product** or **Product Group**). 2. You can change the Plan Item status. Possible choices are: * Open - The Plan Item is underway and the production is being controlled in the **Plan**. * Closed - The Plan Item is no longer in effect. The system will still consider existing Plan Time Frame Items in the System as valid, but will not create new ones as new Plan Time Frames are created. 3.
