# Disable Recipe

:lock: Recipe.**EnableDisable**

## Overview

This operation is used to disable a **Recipe**, making it unable to be used in MES, since a disabled **Recipe** cannot be used to create a **Recipe** instance.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the preconditions of the transaction.

## Preconditions

* The **Recipe** exists in the system.
* The **Recipe** is enabled in the system.

## Sequence of Steps

The Disable Recipe wizard can be called from the **Recipe** page within the Business Data Group.

### Step 1: Disable Recipe

1. Press **Disable** to disable the **Recipe**.
