# Change Instrument Mode

:lock: Resource.**SetInstrumentMode**

## Overview

This operation is used to change the **Resource** instrument mode for instruments that have more than a single mode of operation with different settings.

## Setup

No specific setup is required other than to meet the precondition of the transaction.  

## Preconditions

* The **Resource** must exist and be Active.
* The **Resource** must have Processing Type *Instrument*.

## Sequence of Steps

### Step 1: Result

1. Press the **Change Instrument Mode** button.
2. Select the new desired *Instrument Mode*.
3. Optionally, enter a comment.
4. Press **Change** to complete the transaction.
