It enables tracing how materials were split, merged, or assembled throughout production. This report can be accessed through the **Business Intelligence** tab, in the Material Logistics folder. ![Location of the Transfer Order Details report in the Business Intelligence tab](../images/material_genealogy_location.png) ## Data Source The report uses data from the ODS (Operational Data Store) database, accessed through the [[dataplatform-dataset-materialgenealogyexpanded]] data set. ## Filters - **Enterprise** - Filter by one or more enterprises. - **Site** - Filter by one or more sites. - **Facility** - Filter by one or more facilities. - **Step** - Filter by one or more Steps (restricted by the Facility filter). - **Material** - the Material the report will be based on. - **Begin Date** - Show only operations that started on and after this date. - **End Date** - Show only operations that started on and before this date. - **Depth** - How many levels of relationships to include. Defaults to `1`, which shows only the immediate parent or child materials. - **Mode** - Direction of the genealogy tree. Choose **Ascendant** to trace parent materials, or **Descendant** to trace child materials. ## Report Sections For the selected **Material**, you can find the following details - **Depth** - The level in the genealogy tree, starting at `1` for the immediate relationship (parent or child). - **Date and Time** - Date and time of the operation - **Operation** - The type of operation, such as split, merge, or assemble. - **Source Material** - The material before the operation. - **Target Material** - The material after the operation. - **Source Step** - The step where the operation took place. - **Target Step** - The step where the material is going next. - **Source Product** - The product associated with the source material. - **Target Product** - The product associated with the target material. - **Final Source Qty** - The quantity of the source material after the operation. - **Final Target Qty** - The quantity of the target material after the operation. - **Reference Designator** - The reference identifier for the material relationship. - **Source Location** - The location of the source material. - **Target Location** - The location of the target material. - **Parent Resource** - The resource that produced the source material. - **Child Resource** - The resource that processed the target material. ## Example ![Screenshot showing a Genealogy Report.](../images/material_genealogy_new_design.png)
