In addition it enables you to perform all the allowed operations on a specific **IoT Event Definition**. Moreover, it is possible to switch between 3 main views: **Details**, **References** and **History** views. By default the page opens in the **Details** view. ## Details View Depending on the optional modules that are licensed in the system, the **Details** view will display some or all of the following page sections: ### Details This section displays general information on the **IoT Event Definition**. Such information include: * Name * Description * Type * Universal State * IoT Schema * Scope * Folder * Retention Time (Days) * Has Light Variant !!! info The [[dataplatform-ioteventdefinition-dataset-materialoperations|Material Operations]], the [[dataplatform-ioteventdefinition-dataset-resourcestatechange|Resource State Change]], and the [[dataplatform-ioteventdefinition-dataset-postdatacollection|Post Data Collection]] IoT Event Definitions also provide a Light Variant. This variant is optimized for performance by including only the essential properties. For details on which properties are available, refer to the corresponding IoT Event Definition page. You can select the desired event variant (Standard, Light, or Any) in step 3 of [[user-guide-create-automation-controller#driver-definitions|Creating a New Automation Controller]]. * Owner Type * Create Data Set * Data Set Retention Time (Days) ![Details section](images/iot_event_definition_details.png) ### Properties This section lists all the properties this **IoT Event Definition** includes. A paginated table can be viewed below presenting information on **Data Type**, **Is Mandatory**, **Is Array**, or **Is Indexed** properties. If it is an Iot Schema you can further drill down on the structure of the selected property. ![Properties section](images/iot_event_definition_properties.png) ### IoT Workflows This section enables the visualization of existing assigned **IoT Workflows** and the possibility to create new ones. For more information, see [[user-guide-create-automation-controller]]. ![Workflows section](images/iot_event_definition_workflows.png) ### Attributes This section enables the visualization of existing **Attributes** and the possibility to create new ones. For more information on **Attributes**, visit the section [[attributes-section]]. ![Attachments section](images/iot_event_definition_attributes.png) ### Attachments This section shows the documents that are attached to the **IoT Event Definition** and enables you to attach additional documentation to the **IoT Event Definition**. ![Attachments section](images/iot_event_definition_attachments.png) ## References View This view combines information concerning other objects that have references to the current object: * **Relations** - displays the existing **Relations** between the **IoT Event Definition** and other entities and enables you to edit them. For more information on **Relations**, visit the section [[relations-section]]. * **Where Used** - displays the set of relationships between the **IoT Event Definition** and the other objects used throughout the system. ## History View This view combines information concerning other objects that have references to the current **IoT Event Definition** object: * **History** - displays the history of the operations, associated information, user(s) performing the changes and date and time of the changes.
