# Well-Known Configuration Endpoint

The well-known configuration endpoint is a service discovery endpoint served by the Environment Manager. It lets clients and components obtain the addresses of core Critical Manufacturing MES platform services (such as the Security Portal and the Message Bus) instead of hardcoding them.

From an operations standpoint, there is nothing to configure: the endpoint is unauthenticated by design and is served automatically, reachable through the cluster ingress router at a predictable path under your environment host:
