--- alias: tutorials-carrier-management-scenario-assembling-material description: "Run the fourth carrier scenario by assembling a material that still has a carrier attached, freeing the carrier for reuse." --- # Assembling With a Carrier Attached Use this final scenario after [[tutorials-carrier-management-scenario-removing-carrier]] to see how assembly frees a **Carrier** once it consumes the **Material** carrying it. Consider the `Bonding` **Step** at the `FGood` **Flow**. ## Preconditions - The `FGood.01` material has reached the `Bonding` step. - The `SemiFG` material** still has the Frame carrier attached. ## Sequence of Steps ### 1. Track in the `FGood.01` material 1. At the `Bonding` step, select the `FGood.01` material. 2. Perform **Track-In**. The `FGood.01` material consumes the `SemiFG.01` material with the Frame carrier attached. ![Screenshot showing the Dispatch and Track-In Material wizard with the SemiFG BOM item still carrying the Frame.](images/scenario4_trackin_bom.png) ### 2. Assemble the material 1. On the left side menu, select **Business Data**. 2. On the **Business Data** panel, select **Material**. 3. In the search box, type `Mat.01`. 4. Select the corresponding **Material** from the search results. 5. On the top ribbon, select **Assemble**. ![Screenshot showing the Assemble Material dialog consuming MatSemiFG.01 into Mat.01.](images/scenario4_assemble_material.png) ## Result After assembling, the material releases the carrier, which becomes available again for use in another material.
